Why AGL is so fast and how does it work?

The technology AGL is built-on reads the information from an XML database and draws the catalog through the CPU, conceptually similarly to a dynamic web page, although has more constrains because the physical boundary of the page format.

Why do you use opensource software and not the Adobe products?

Opensource software is both a technical and ethical choice; it allows us to use advanced techniques that aren't available with the Adobe products without using arguable plugins with very expensive licenses that must be renewed yearly.

Which opensource software do you use?

AGL is built upon Speedata Publisher, a powerful typesetting engine based on TeX. We integrate Speedata Publisher with others opensource tools, our entire pipeline is fully opensource: this means we don't need to charge anything for the software we use.

I have a database but it is not in XML, can I use AGL?

Yes you can, we are going to taking care on converting your databases, and even your current PDF catalogs, into XML datasets we can work with.

Do you provide a copy of AGL to your customers?

No, we don't. AGL is a proprietary template that we do not distribute, this a product that we manage for you. You own exclusively the dataset and the assets. We customize AGL based on your design and we provide the necessary proofs thru the print-ready file.

Do you provide a Cloud Service?

Currently we do not provide a cloud service; we mainly support local businesses, having a cloud infrastructure would make our service less competitive. We will have a cloud service when it will be at zero cost for our customers.
